Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

See my post above regarding the Grove. I am quitting Delta and moving there. All you guys junior to me should be happy. No... I WOULD be moving there if it weren't for a certain Dexter McCluster. That guy is Larry Fitzgerald fast with Barry Sanders moves... scary.

Not to mention a certain Mrs. Tsquare... A very lovely lady in her own right, if I might say so.:)

The exact quote is we are much closer to hiring than furloughing. Quite noncommittal. We may have a need for new pilots shortly, but the decision has not been made. I would state that we are no longer in a position that we could expect pink slips. Also, I would not be shocked to see an official announcement about accepting applications and or interviewing in the future. (3-9months)

Well, that is the OFFICIAL word.

Non-official is better, but unofficial for a reason. Just conjure.

Fact is that they are allowing apps to be updated, though we do not have a hiring dept. (Stupid lawyers and pilots that like to sue)

Ya know, I knew that we had pilots that were unsuccessful sue here and there for not getting hired, but it was relative. I can now see where that comes from, and why. It amazes me, but when someone does not get what they want, they see it as a last option.

Hearing comments first hand has made me realize it can come from anywhere. It also makes me realize DAL does what they do. It has come to that.
