Not to mention a certain Mrs. Tsquare... A very lovely lady in her own right, if I might say so.:)

The exact quote is we are much closer to hiring than furloughing. Quite noncommittal. We may have a need for new pilots shortly, but the decision has not been made. I would state that we are no longer in a position that we could expect pink slips. Also, I would not be shocked to see an official announcement about accepting applications and or interviewing in the future. (3-9months)

These are the kind of posts/rumors I like! :)

Well, that is the OFFICIAL word.

Non-official is better, but unofficial for a reason. Just conjure.

Fact is that they are allowing apps to be updated, though we do not have a hiring dept. (Stupid lawyers and pilots that like to sue)

I am so glad that I did not go to school there. I would have NEVER accomplished anything. The locals say that an Ole Miss Saturday is a big party where a football game might break out. Second to none. EVER. Are there any Ole Miss grads here? I don't have any pics yet as one of my friends has to email 'em.. but it is mind boggling. (Did I mention that it was really fun except the game?)

Now I haven't been to an ole miss home game but I have been to Austin for a pregame tailgate party and I would be very impressed if it so much as compared to the eye candy that is running around wildly before a longhorn game. I have no doubt that ole miss has some goodness running around too. Good ole southern charm ;) gotta love it

Ya know, I knew that we had pilots that were unsuccessful sue here and there for not getting hired, but it was relative. I can now see where that comes from, and why. It amazes me, but when someone does not get what they want, they see it as a last option.

Hearing comments first hand has made me realize it can come from anywhere. It also makes me realize DAL does what they do. It has come to that.

acl,

Excuse me, did you say they were accepting apps? Where?
