I see there is a Delta Museum close to the FBO. Anyone have intel on the museum? They have a full motion 737-200 simulator that has my attention. It's $395 for a 45 minute "flight". I've sent an email to the museum about the simulator, but would like to hear from anyone whose had a session.

I would stay at the Renaissance Concourse. Good/Bad???

Thanks!

East arrivals normally land on the south runways. The FBO is on the north side so look over the airport diagram. It would be best if you could file over ODF and have a chance of landing on the north runway.

There has been a lot of talk about 73N in Seattle as well as 7ER growth on the next AE. Anybody have any good (credible) rumors on how the rest of the 73N fleet will fare? Specifically looking for info regarding Detroit… Thanks for any/all replies!

I think you will be cleared direct and cleared to land at KPDK and instructed to hold short of KATL.

;)

What kind of aircraft? In light non-turbine aircraft (seminoles, saratogas), I always used to just file direct. They were always very good at squeezing me into the north complex for arrivals.

180 knots to the marker, please! :)

180knots is the key. If you can indicate 180 they will fit you right in. If not you may get a delay until a lull in the arrivals.

Here's a report from YouTube - C172 landing KATL from 2013:
AT THE FBO, we were charged $20 for a quickturn, $6 for security fee, and $4 for landing fee from the city.

The museum is nice, worth a visit. The simulator is staffed by retired DL pilots/instructors. I think you can get a brief ride for free with the motion off... not the same thing of course but much cheaper! Might want to call and make sure it's going to be open to the public when you are planning to go, they often do private or company events during the day and evening. Have a nice flight!

Ok, a little off topic but I need some help in finding out how much in loan guarantees the three ME carriers (Emirates, Qatar, and Etihad) have in loan guarantees from the Ex-Im bank. It would be helpful to know how much Ryanair has too. If some one can point me in the right direction, it would be appreciated. I need to be able to cite sources. Thx for any help.

This is needed to put a cork in a good friend!:)

I took a corporate jet to ATL and our landing/handling fee was $1000. That was 8 years ago.

Fwiw I flew a Piper Archer and a couple of C172s to the ATL. Just file direct. They'll put you where they want, I was not given an arrival.

Word of caution though if you're going out south they'll put you or the Southside. So I was solo trying to get that archer down to the south ramp and across ramps and so on. It was in the evening and busy unfortunately.

If you time it right you can get in and out during a lull, that helps.
