At this rate, I wonder if the pilot group will even be able to see the TA after it passes.

The rumors don't run the gamut. They are all pretty much at one end...at least every one I have heard here and at work.
And you've already lost if your metric for success is AA. Why even have a survey if you aren't going to measure a TA against THAT and against what is fiscally possible/reasonable given THIS pilot group's work and sacrifices? |

I agree. If the TA was at least a double, we'd be hearing the good. Not so much.

The meeting to debate the TA is going to be in open session. |

What bad have we heard other than what is being made up?
While the meeting was productive, we are beginning to see a conflict between the process (mentioned above), the record pace of negotiations, and parochial (third rail) issues the line pilots advised us to avoid. As we stated in last update, “Certainly we are ready, willing, and able to work with management to address areas of mutual concern; however, we don’t need to rush, and they should not over-reach.” At this juncture we are seeing more over-reaching from the company and less addressing of our pilots’ issues. |

I guess this from Council 1:
What I wish I was hearing was rumors that it is really good. I hope it is. |

A little light "tea leaf" reading for you. FACTUAL, non rumor based.. From DALPA Council 1 updates: "The Delta MEC held a special meeting May 19-20 at the Westin Hotel in Atlanta. The special meeting was to ensure that the direction we have given the Negotiating Committee is clear. For whatever reason, the committee seems to resist any significant amount of redirection away from the paths that they deem appropriate, and we continue to struggle to keep the MEC’s direction in line with your goals and expectations—a major part of the process." "While the meeting was productive, we did encounter some issues related to our dual goals of “on time” and “on target,” also known as the process. Both are stated goals of the MEC, but we are beginning to see the potential conflict between the two with your reps feeling the need to slow the process down a bit. As we are still well ahead of the on-time goal, we must continue to ensure that the on-target goal is met." This one I am paraphrasing since I can't remember where I read it... "management's shopping cart is getting full, ours not so much.." |
