I wouldn't be interested in the separate duty periods, rather just go home. But I have 3 trips this month that release at 1000 or earlier, I know it would be possible to cram the 1st day of another rotation into my legal FAR duty day. I guess the real crux of the matter is would the computers consider it 2 duty periods and require the rest or consider it 1 duty period. If 1 duty period it would then need to decide whether I would get the 5:15 or 10:30. If the opportunity presents itself I'll give it a try and see what happens.

Sorry, you can't do it. You have to have a legal break after you finish your first rotation before you can begin a second.

Carl, last fall I offered you a large bet on if I was wrong or not. You declined to take the bet. Please tell us your numbers and where they are from. The numbers you posted before were the requirement to cure the problem with one year to go. Not the average over 4 years.
Here is what is pertinent and will be what the grievance is about. The contract required that the company award us 48.5% of the EASK. We are actually going to end up around 47% the shortfall will be 1.5%. There are several varibles on how many flights that might be since its a EASK. Length of the flight and size of the aircraft make big changes. To make you happy I will call the shortfall 1.5%. Do you dispute that number?

As a newhire on the ER, could you guys expand on what we heard so many times in indoc that they're bulking up on staffing for summer ER flying? Does that mean more cities, more frequency to existing cities, charters, military...? I understand there was an ER pulldown a few years ago, but it seems like they're building it back up (see latest AE). Is it only for the summer? Thanks!
One could at least hope that's true.

I just wish one of their Clients had been the Delta Pilots, you know, the guys who paid his salary for about the past 10 years...
I'm pretty sure the A4A is one of his Clients now that our contracts are 'mature'.
Oh Wait! He IS a Delta Pilot!
Or... was.
I doubt we'll ever see him fly a Delta jet again.

My understanding is that he is on flight pay loss at the moment representing the ATA with congress concerning the Middle East airline issue and the attempt to remove them from open skies. The company is covering the flight pay for him. This is a huge issue and he is the right person to be fronting it in DC.
