Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

The 10 A330s we are getting (starting this year) are the Increased Gross Weight version, so they can carry more pax/cargo.

2017 - A350s start coming, it's been labeled as the 747-400 replacement.
2019 - A330/neo (new engine) start coming, labeled as the 767-300ER replacement.

I'm thinking the 777's we already have are actually the 747 replacements, cargo, pax and range wise, but the A350's will replace the 777's on the routes they are flying now, short of 17 hours that is.

I will never again get at YF shot. I have had symptoms from it 6+ months later. Next time it's a wavier for me. Lesson learned. The nurse that gave it to me tried talking me out of it but I thought she was crazy.

My guess is not... Skymark is in bankruptcy and the A330s which are leased and only like 6-15 months old are prolly parked awaiting a white knight like ANA to gallop along and save them. Besides they are powered by Rolls Trent engines that don't match anything else Delta flies. Not even the Trents on our 772ERs.

I got the YF shot back when Delta required it, and had a headache and low grade fever the next day..Felt like the flu but not as bad...Then I woke up the 2nd day after the shot and was back to normal. No symptoms.. I would call the chief pilots office and tell them you feel sick after receiving the shot. I think they will verify your sick time.

After my YF shot I could see through some vinyl siding and speak fluent Urdu.

Where other's react with pain, I gain low-grade superpowers.

The 330 is fine from SEA and the new 330's have a longer range. The 350's start arriving in 2 years and come fast and furious. Looks like 1 a month almost. They can do the Eastern US to China however on a few city pairs the 787 would have been a better choice. Those will be run with 777's.
