Yes they are.

They have strong, long lasting resolve which can not be broken.

Would you like to see any of the products in the lumber department?

Not true. I know a FEW that got on with out knowing a single soul here. They do just pick from the pile too!

Hockey,

I am not so sure about that.... I did not have any recs for DAL and I was hired. Seemed to me they were at the time pretty dynamic in their hiring. Must have been luck but only 2 in my interview class out of 8 were hired. The only two civilians I might add. I think Delta will be in control of attracting the best when it comes to hiring. Always a good thing. So I hope whatever my $.02 is worth that anyone who wants to apply will do so. I was floored when the offered me the job and sent the others packing......... Now I just need to figure out how to commute to Detroit........

Not sure that I like any deal with JAL.....Wont it lead to more code sharing/joint venture/OUTSOURCING? Inevitably leading to less jobs here at DAL?

but you're right the real choices will likely be md-88 and dc-9 when it really does start :D

Didn't you hear???? The DC-9 and Airbi have "new-hire" fences!;)

IMHO, yes and no. More code share, but they are also dropping about 1/3 of their cities. Add to it, it may offer us access, a base in Tokyo, and the ability to have a lot of that flying that is done under contract flown by DAL pilots. A lot can happen depending on the deal done with their government is involved.

It will also blow a hole in the side on the OneWorld Alliance that will be very hard to recover on. AMR knows this so I really wonder what DAL's objectives are with this. I see a few chess moves down the board, and Tokyo, DFW, and JFK are all in danger of being put in to play.

I agree that we as DALPA need to watch our six. One of our new 44 reps is very knowledgeable of all things JV et al, and seems to think that this could be great for DAL (revenue stream) and good for us, with getting some quid pro quo. Problem is that our record sucks.

My .03 not .02 :D

I learned something today about lizards mating. I wonder what else I could learn on this internet... like where pumpkin pies really come from. :D
