Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
Quick question, I'm traveling back to the states because of a military/guard trip. I have a full fare coach seat from DTS, but wondering if I can still take advantage of my non-rev benefits to get one of the 13 open seats in business? Double list and scan both tickets (coach and business seat) at the gate? Show the agents my ID and see if they'll take care of me? I know you're not supposed to fly non-rev for other business, but I'd still be using my full fare ticket...

Use VNAV to the feather(or whatever they call it now) and you'll be fine there and every other airport. Many guys don't do it on a real ILS OR a visual approach and merely just hit the Approach button and follow the GS down. That WON'T assure making all those altitude constraints.

A couple weeks ago I had a contract 2015 bag tag in my vfile. I put it on my bag right away in support of the process and in hopes of something great to vote on in the future, near or far. I have yet to see another pilot with this bag tag and was wondering if it was because of distribution issues or are people not wanting to show support?
Presumably that's the plan. That's Moakism. Constructive engagement. etc. etc.
Working with management will yield the best result. That's the theory.
As long as that is the strategy I don't think DALPA really wants any sort of pilot activism. At least not public activism.
For some, an "On Time, On Target" bag tag is probably already too militant and disrespectful.
That's the union we elected and I'm OK with that as long as negotiations are moving forward.
The MEC knows they have our support. No bag tags required.
The whole "cooperation not confrontation" approach is DALPA's choice. You can't really blame the pilot group for being quiet right now. Everybody is waiting to see what comes out of the negotiations. We're just letting DALPA follow their game plan.
I think Anderson is going to agree to a great contract.
We deserve it and he can afford it.
If the new age strategy fails however:
With the kind of dough the company and the executives are pulling down,
It'll be time to inflate the rat.

I have never understood why an employee can't standby for an upgrade, in seniority order, when traveling on a purchased ticket. It would cost the company nothing.

How does a DH ASA a pilot get first class before us? Had that happen last night. I was non rev. I say he had PSUP next to his name. Do they have it in there contract.
Yep,
The above is very good advice. Don't try to non-rev when you have a ticket. That is almost as bad as "crossing the streams."

In addition, they don't fly much and I plan to use their S2 privileges since they'd just lose then anyway. Is it correct that if they use it for one leg then they get it for all legs on that calendar day?
Thanks

The rumors all originate from a select few with a agenda. I love how even rumors on sections not even discussed can spread like wildfire. When and if a TA is presented read it carefully. Make every effort to understand it. Then cast your vote based on if it meets your needs and expectations. Then give your fellow pilots the courtesy to make the same choice even if they disagree with you.
