I don't GAS what the DPA survey says. It is an unscientific poll with zero validity.
I am not selling anything Jerry. I am not defending anything. I am leaving the hyperbolic hysteria at home on this thing right now and weighing the facts as I learn them. At this point they are very few. Rush right on out to your boy and give him some more money, maybe he can come up with some more Chinese abortion analogies to rally the troops. That kind of "leadership" certainly made an impression on me as to who I want representing me.

You don't need a survey to make severe concessions in exchange for on 8% hourly increase and two 3%.cost of living increases.
Maybe Mike Hanson will say we won't see the 3% and 3%. We can trust him.
Idk, if this fails it's going to be close.
Two different quotes from the line texted to me:
1. I'm not going to wait around for more money.
2. The oe thing is fine, it's reasonable to take trips away because if the staffing issues they're going to have in the coming years. (This of course after complaining how bad the oe recovery system was).

Oh, someone needs some proof?? Here ya go...
financial analysts at Credit Suisse and JP Morgan have published their findings on the TA as being a cost savings to the company.
JP Morgan even raised their EPS forecasts for the latter half of the year on DAL because of the reductions in profit sharing and fixed pilot wages.
Now tell us all why would either of these two firms lie about something like this? Btw, they employ PROFESSIONAL analysts who do this kind of research for a living. Both have reiterated their "overweight" recommendations on DAL stock because of TA2015.
If you can't believe DAL mgmt or your reps, maybe you can believe Wall St.

Jerry and Bender,
You both have history of antagonizing each other. For now, please put that aside and professionally debate. I think both of you can see some Common ground. This TA. I think falls extremely short of what the company can afford and we deserve. Our leadership(used loosely) has let us down. The lurkers that read here, probably have chosen sides between you two and are biased for/against anything you say. If you two can see some common ground, I think we have a chance of stopping this. Jerry, we all know how you feel. It's guys like bender we need to sway and it won't be done slamming each other. For the record I've always been an ALPA supporter thru good and bad. Took my tie tack off, mailed in my DPA card Thursday and cancelled my PAC contributions too. We can sway the middle by not insulting them.

Also, what is MH's motivation? I've read his strategic planning pwerpoint twice now. He has no plan it appears. 20+ pages of doom and gloom and why we can't expect much. Sounds like RA, EB, MC and ford and Harrison wrote this. Anybody know him?
1. Reject TA and send the negotiators back in or elect new negotiators
2. Wait the company out and go thru the NMB
I think the company needs this more than we do.
Denny
I would counter his "no plan" with "we don't need a plan right away." What's wrong with the status quo. In all honesty though, "The Plan" really only has a couple of avenues that have been gone over before:
1. Reject TA and send the negotiators back in or elect new negotiators
2. Wait the company out and go thru the NMB
I think the company needs this more than we do.

As I argued with C'12, the company isn't going to just quickly come back to the table and tweak this enough to get it passed. They have spent $millions to keep other unions off the property, the last thing they will want to show, is a union having that much of an impact.
Ferd
I agree with all except, I don't think the company will reengage anytime soon if we turn this down (which is fine).

I won't argue with Uncle Ferd!. Mainly 'cause I think you are right! The question is: For how long? I'm of the impression/feeling (whatever one wants to call it) that the company needs this deal more than we do. I'm ready to change the game plan and see where it leads us.

That was back when I had about 3,000 posts...so his PM didn't have the intended affect.
