Bar, any insight on why the company would need the TA to buy those aircraft when we have a pay rate? Training freezes or were they just a pot sweetener?
All I know beyond that is exactly what Anderson has stated (and published) in public. Watching the data and the news like everyone else. |

May I ask why you are not posting in the Delta TA section?

All aircraft orders are based on business. Always have been, always will be.
YOU NEVER EVER NEGOTIATE FOR AIRPLANES. In our case the 190s were a ruse to create a false deadline. Sadly our side was so incredibly inept, it worked down to the second. As always, the aircraft will show up on the ramp. Deal or no deal. Pathetic. Jerry |
I am thinking about white slipping a trip with a DH as the 1st leg (NYC 717B rotation 2910). I would deviate from the front end DH and wanted to know what the repercussions would be if my DDH flight were to cancel for some reason.
2910 Day 1: D2354 LGA 1655 DTW 1910 1356 DTW 2012 SAT 2222 Instead of DHing on 2354 I would deviate on 5285 SAT to DTW. 5285 SAT 1240 DTW 1649 I would show up considerably earlier on my DDH than planned DH, but should 5285 cancel my only other way to work would be through ATL which is scheduled to arrive at 1930, only 32 minutes prior to when flight 1356 is supposed to leave. I'm not overly concerned about pay protection (although that is always nice); I am mainly concerned with job protection. Thanks EDIT: This is the part I can't understand from the PWA: 8 Note two: A pilot who utilizes an off-rotation deadhead at the beginning of a rotation 9 that does not satisfy the requirements of Section 8 E. 8. will be responsible for his 10 transportation. Section 8 E.8 seems to refer to itself in an infinite loop. |
Watts may be the perfect choice to replace Donatelli.
Many think he was a north pilot. Long before the merger I suspected he was a south guy. Crafty slow talk. Smiling at the enemy when he is really ****ed off. My suspensions were confirmed when I discovered he is from Louisiana. Bless your heart. |

NA15 was defeated. Forward-Looking? Right. The same thugs and their agenda are still in play.
We need a change of leadership and a complete purge of the entrenched old guard and their proteges. Never once have I encountered a Delta pilot, doing ALPA work or otherwise, that I would characterize as a thug. PD I like that you're a constant watchdog, but the hyperbole here is a bit much. |
