I keep waiting for the company to close this loophole or have a min month requirement for benefits, insurance, etc.
I guess we don't have enough 62-64 year old guys that are dropping a couple trips a month to enjoy a partial retirement while keeping their benefits. If I was 60/when I'm 60, if I'm not retired yet, I plan on doing exactly that and keeping my insurance while taking it easy for the rest of my career while my 401K grows a few more %.
Hopefully our staffing will be adequate by then to be able to drop a trip or two.

Well in my defense the reason I want to PD is because my trips are horrendous! then just hope something better pops up

Guys who can't hold a base and drop their entire month in NYC then fill up with out of base WS's in the base they wish. Most of the time an out of base WS saves the company a GS and takes a GS away from a pilot who can is in that base.
I know it is allowed by the contract, but it drives me bananas when GS's are going out and some dude out of base WS's a trip saving them a GS.

Hey dudes, another dumb newbie question. I tried finding the data in the PWA but i blacked out after 5 minutes of reading and woke up in an alley with a new scar where my kindney was. If i am on reserve, can i GS on my X days and is that added to the reserve guarantee so i get Res G plus the GS hours?

Hey dudes, another dumb newbie question. I tried finding the data in the PWA but i blacked out after 5 minutes of reading and woke up in an alley with a new scar where my kindney was. If i am on reserve, can i GS on my X days and is that added to the reserve guarantee so i get Res G plus the GS hours?
