So, what's the over/under on how senior you'd have to be in category to slide your December vacation to cover Christmas? Bets? I'm at 55ish%, do I have a chance?

Sorry, was aiming for sarcasm. I commuted for an eternity of 8 months. It sucks.

That is about where I was last year my category and I was able to slide mine over Christmas. It all depends on whether or not you get an unstacked trip.

Well, I'm in about the 99th percentile and I slid a November vacation to cover Thanksgiving. I've got another week in December and you can bet I'm going to try and do the same thing!

Wall St analyst report: Delta may create overseas subsidiary | Finance & Data content from ATWOnline Something to be concerned about from a pilot group perspective? And if so what can be done?

Fittingly, the airplanes in the photo accompanying the story are not mainline Delta.

Sure it's a worthwhile improvement, but many of us uprooted our families so we wouldn't have to worry abut commuting. Unless it benefits most/all of us, you're not going to garner any support. In case you didn't notice the company isn't in the habit of just giving things to the pilot group. What exactly do we have to trade so you can PS to work?

The last 3 years I've been about 50% in category and every year I was able to slide an early Dec. Vacation to cover 23-29, BUT... my category has always had adequate staffing.

If you are in a 'short' category, where unstacking will be happening a lot, 50% may not be high enough to slide it.
