Thanks.
I just had CQ on different equipment but the FO was the pilot flying for the LOE. Depending on the abnormal the FO will likely end up flying anyway so it really doesn't matter. My advice is to obviously use the DIG to guide your prep. The first day will be very busy but there is usually a good mix of reviewing stuff you already know and seeing a few new things the training center is trying to make us aware of. I generally get a lot out of it. The LOE is pretty much exactly the same as the event you had previously. Some guys like to dig around and find out the scenarios ahead of time. Personally I think I perform better when I allow the LOE to unfold as it is meant to without knowing what might happen ahead of time. Even when you do know the scenarios it rarely plays out like you imagine and IMO hurts more than it helps. YMMV.

Note the login screen next time you log in to iCrew. It says "weeks available will be available by Jan 1."

So you can bid right now, but if you want to know the exact weeks available it won't be until Jan 1....but don't forget to bid by the deadline of the 8th!

FO is pilot flying, not first flight of the day, and the pairing is either LGA-BOS or PDX-SEA.

Treat it like it's a real airplane! Check out the ECAM Messages section of the MDM to refresh how to deal with Class II messages (all the sims randomly generate them with no control from the IP).

Enjoy!

And if you get DJ for your APD, tell him FSU sucks and Jaemis was a crab stealing reprobate. You'll be a shoo in for sure!

Yup.......as the plug that's what I can expect. However, I'm happy to have a regular schedule AND it's a trip I would have actually bid. Maybe next time I'll take time to put something in vs award trips before moving onto the reserve bid

You're welcome!

The only reason I knew about it was an Indoc classmate of mine had this happen to her last month. We couldn't figure it out and eventually she called the ALPA skeds folks and they walked her through the explanation.

In any case, good stuff in the PBS gouge for sure.

And yes, a line is way better than reserve, esp if you're a commuter! (yeah, yeah, it's a choice...)

Thanks newK......yeah, that's a trip I would have bid back when I was the #19 FO in LA or MSP and got whatever I wanted

But, I probably won't get to fly it as I sit here waiting for OE OK, not so mad since it's Christmas.

But, it does raise a question for the old head ER guys on here (T/Binder if you're lurking). The're a couple of nice trips in LA open time that have multiple legs out to Asia and back. Has anyone ever heard of knocking off a portion of OE AND TOE on one trip. We did it, of course, on the 330.
