Ok, answered my question with a call to crew skeds. Those are now transition pairings, the legs have changed, but probably not canceled. The 5 day trip will most likely be a 5 day trip.

Bummer,

Bring your profit sharing check and have a well earned Lamar Odom mini vacation! What could go wrong?

Anyone who flys a reserve trip when full is not only violating the contract but taking greenslip and whiteslip pay(most of the time) away from other pilots in the category. If you fly when full buy accident report it to scheduling supervisor and another pilot should get paid for being bypassed for gs or ws.

By raising the amount of hours reserves can fly in a month compared to the past, and changing to the 14 hour window for covering trips, ALPA has taken thousands and thousands of dollars from other pilots. Especially the 14 hour window to cover trips now. This has crushed greenslips and whiteslips. At least allowing reserves to fly more hours gives them more pay. The 14 hour window now results in constant reroutes.

Got a green slip on reserve yesterday, crew Sched did not put any payback days on my line (I am due two). does anyone know what will happen to my payback days if crew Sched does not put them on my line and I sit 2 more days reserve this week, days on which I should have had the pay back days. Will I get them put in my bank for future use or will they say too bad, that is if I don't call them about the issue till thurs when I am off for the rest of the month.

Thanks, BV

BV..

I've had them forget my payback days a few times in the past. I'd keep your powder dry until you are off for the rest of the month. Then call scheduling and explain that you believe you're due the payback days. They're generally much more valuable/flexible that way.

Any problems, give the union a call and ask to speak with someone in the scheduling bullpen. They'll get it fixed up.

A RES who flies a yellow slip once he is full is violating the PWA?

Wait until they close out the trip and check. I've found they don't ring that stuff up until after the trip ends, in case you get rerouted/sick/canceled. If they aren't there when your time card shows "closed", then call.

Or is he exercising his contractual rights under the pwa? How about a green slip after he/she is full? Violation or contractual right? 3 green might have a little fascism in his dna.

Not true. Full means CS cannot give you another trip or short call. There is no contractual provision stating you cannot choose to fly when you are full.

My view is that anyone YS'ing a trip after being full needs to find a life outside of this job.

More money more time off. That should be the goal of any contract but we've long since lost sight of that.
