Any suggestions for a seat cushion for the 717?

No kidding. Everyone likes to think that their seat sucks, but the 717 really does. The sim seats are way more comfortable that the airplane seats. I'm going to be looking for a seat supplement as well. It only took 1 trip to come to that conclusion.

No ding on you, but ... $173 for a cushion? We're pilots. I'd rather grab some red blankets and white pillows from Economy Comfort Plus Whatever It's Called These Days.

For the 717 I bought the Teton seat cushion on Amazon.
Pros: Cheap, easily stored, self inflates
Cons: Not breathable
It's an improvement, but after a while I find it itself gets uncomfortable in its own way. So it's a matter of which discomfort you're want to choose from. Maybe I'll try going with a higher inflation level to reduce the snugness factor.

Eh, it's memory foam. Really works well. I bought one in 1998, used it mostly on a hardwood office chair. Finally had to replace the foam this year, cost $120 for a foam replacement. I've just about decided to start lugging it on trips. Trade one pain in the ... for another one, carrying it around. I agree, B717 seats suck
