For example say you have an 80 hour line with a maximum pick-up of 12 hours. If you are awarded 6 hour Greenslip (no credit) you will still have a 12 hour pick-up.

If you are awarded 6 hour white-slip (credit) your maximum pick-up would be reduced to 6 hours.

The maximum pick-up is what limits your ability to pick open time with a few exceptions.

Ah gotcha. Didn't know about a pickup max. Thanks.

Nope....OE trumps all, especially as a new hire b/c you aren't even on flight time pay till after your OE. However, you will receive those days back in the form of payback days.

Thanks. I'll keep track of it. Where do I find the payback days? Is it on you paycheck or Icrew somewhere?

White-slip (straight pickup) max = ALV (Average Line Value) + 15 hours.
(PWA 23.P.7)

Delta's first Airbus A321 takes to the skies.

Airbus people, if you are qualified in an A320 are you also qualified in an A319 and A321?

I'm not an Airbus guy, but I do know it's all the same type rating. Same thing goes for the 737-7/8/9s.

Is there a pay rate? Didn't see it in the PWA.

Thanks. What happens with an IA that conflicts with a trip on your schedule? Does that trip get dropped with pay or do they put you back on your original trip when you complete the IA?

That would be an IAWC. Drops trip and pays you for it...it's not a reroute.

I don't like to read everything either, but if you just click on the live contract located on your company provided tablet, you can read the exact language yourself.

Newbie waiting to start indoc and have a question. What are the rules on picking up a trip in a different base? Let's say I get NY -88 or 320, could I pick up or trade for MSP flying?

It is a technique... You could attempt to drop your whole schedule then attempt to refill it with msp open time, yes.
