Question for all you scheduling/pay protection guru's.

I had two diversions yesterday, yes two! The second resulted in spending the night and operating to LGA on my off day. My two day trip worth 11:15, became a 3 day worth 15:45. Because of the unscheduled overnight, I was unable to do two different GS's I was called for today. Is it possible for me to get pay protection, etc for the GS's? If I had not gotten stuck I would have done one. I think I'm SOL but figured I'd ask.

Also, it looks like scheduling left the second GS on my line and Nooped it. My time card actually shows pay and credit for it, but I'm suspecting they'll remove it later. I do not let them award GS's while I'm flying so that isn't why its there.
Any ideas?

I posted this link at the TA pages. But, in case you didn't see it, WSB-TV in ATL produced this piece. It includes interviews with both John Malone and Ed Bastian regarding negotiations.

Call 1-800-USA-ALPA (D-ALPA office in ATL) Ask for the scheduling gurus.

My opinion, think you're right about being S.O.L for the GS pay. The diversions were outside the company's control due to weather/IROPS in the NE. Never hurts to call.

"The sign out here says 'BIG DELTA JETS'...." um, maybe time for a visit to the optometrist?

I don't have any experience with interline travel. Thinking about getting a couple zed fares for me and a family member on SWA for tomorrow. On the site where you buy the tickets (myIDtravel) there is a column by the SWA flights for tomorrow that say 'chance' showing all yellow smiley faces (like this :)). Does that mean anything other than 'good luck, Mofo'?

Is there a way to get an idea of what the loads are like for other airlines if you're using a zed fare?

Additionally, I assume when you buy the fares, you get an e-ticket and you go to the gate and standby like you would at Delta? That right?

Thanks in advance.

Better than an orange smile (iffy) or red sad face (ANFW), most of the airlines I have used zed fares on have used the smiley face load indicator.
