Green slip on a day off is not always a proffer. Check PWA. Don't answer the phone. Listen to your voicemail. You like the trip they offer- call them back or go into icrew and accept the assignment. If you don't like it- let is pass. But if you answer the call- it is not a proffer in most cases.
But to help out crew scheduling- try to only put in for trips you like to fly. Adjust your parameters. It saves them a ton of time. |
Quick reserve question. Reserve this month and a regular line next month with the first four days off. On Short call the last day of the month and scheduling assigns a four day trip which has one day in this month and overlaps the first four days off of the regular line next month. Just curious if they can do this and where it talks about it in the contract. I haven't found it specifically yet. Thanks!

They do this all the time. Which is why you need to bid the last day of a res month as an X day. They will actually place the contract para on your schedule. At least that's what they did with me. 23.N.9

Greens slip and coverage in in question.
If they have open trips for today from the next hour through the end of the night they have to cover them ASAP yes? I have a GSWC in for a trip later this evening that was a robo call for inverse assignment. If they've gone through the ladder and its still open why isn't it being put on me? Do they wait until the last second to continue down the last few steps? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
You cannot be awarded a GSWC if the uncovered trip and your trip start on the same day.
It's addressed in the GSWC part of Section 23. I don't have time to quote it right now. |

They might be waiting to see if someone puts in a GS (or WS, yes, that does happen); or to find a way to cover it with another base; or to coordinate with mx to see if there is another type of airplane available to cover it; or deciding whether to break up the trip. In short, no one knows exactly what goes on behind the curtain. |

Inverse Assignment Question
So I believe an IA went out today in my category an "A" in trip coverage to a guy senior to me. I did NOT get a call. Is this something I can/should bring up for compensation?
