Can anyone tell me if we still get the FedEx 75% 2 day air discount? I can't find it listed on the Delta Perks website.

Just show your badge at any FedEx office that takes packages, or to any FedEx office location to get the discount. 75% off applies only to air, not ground deliveries.

Marketing needs to take a back seat to reality. The only way to douse the flames of the operational meltdown is to reduce the NYC base not grow it with commuting new hires who will all bid out the instant they can. #reality

I think this is more symptomatic of the current hiring environment. Back in the 80s AA was hiring 120 a month and 3/4 were sent to NYC as new hires (oddly enough many on the MD) Most bid out within 2 months.

At least DAL new hires have the option of getting out of there fairly quickly now rather than being stuck there for months or years.

Yes, or offer NYC-based pilots a small COLA for covering three airports in the third-world melting pot, otherwise known as NYC. #crazy!

Close. Pilot to pilot swaps/pickups don't show up, swap with the pot is a PS.

Re-read my post. I explicitly noted that swaps don't get listed in Daily Coverage, and nowhere did I mention the PS code.

Seeing some trips go with the PS code that aren't in open time. How does that work?

Pro-grade pcs ninjas will set up swaps for trips they want that aren't in open time in case they ever get into open time.

It's time-consuming and the take rate is insanely low.

That's what I love to hear! You should never, ever try blind swaps!
.
And that will allow me to take the better pop-up trips, that you might have gotten, because you're far to busy here complaining about everything under the sun that you don't have the time to better your own schedule with a few quick PCS entries. Kind of pathetic when you think about it. Enjoy those 4000+ posts! I'm going back to check open time and steal another great trip out from under you! How's that for quality of life improvement??

(And "take rate insanely low"? Hmmm, I just got one today and I'm far from insane!)

Oh, I do it all the time too. That doesn't change the fact that it takes forever and the take rate is low.

Incidentally, I'm skeptical of anyone who feels compelled to proclaim "I'm far from insane." It like someone who briefs "I'm really laid back."

Fair enough.
