Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?
I have a DH leg to NRT later this month. How do you make a deviation from DH reservation if you want to fly to NRT out of a base other than your own?
Crew Scheduling said I could do it myself in Travelnet through Crew Travel but that option only lets me sign up for the original assigned DH leg. If I sign up for the original DH, the option to modify reservation is not available. I don't see any other way to do it. You can't use "Company Business" travel either, correct?

Or, you could do it right, and avoid said oversight. Arrive in Japan rested from pampering, and head to the Radission for continued time zone acclimation.
Much of that in jest, but seriously, overwater DH deviation is one of the bonuses built for enjoyment. Take advantage. Iron man same day deviation is not for the faint of heart. If your push returns to the gate, you're missing your NRT outbound. I'd say 3/4 of the time gate returns still operate, but many hours behind schedule - sometimes after a crew rest. I've done same day in a bind, but there's not much "sit back, relax and enjoy your flight." Save the bonus day off for the trip home if you're blessed with that too (XCM menu for that booking).

The coach seat part however means you don't know the contract. Please hold the companies feet to the fire and enforce the contract.

Unless I am misunderstanding the booking process, if you deviate, there have to be business class seats available for you to book them. If there are no BC seats available, you CAN still deviate, but you've got to take an available seat (i.e. coach). You can't bump paying business class pax to get the BC seat on a deviate DH.

You can't book yourself in Business class. The system won't let you. You have to make the reservation in coach, then you need to call scheduling and they will upgrade your seat to Business. Give them the 5 digit PNR record locator. There needs to be availability of course.
