As of today you are correct. However per the recent announcement Economy Comfort is going to be a new (more expensive) fare class, able to be purchased well in advance. That, coupled with the "no selecting EC within 24 hrs" rule means most dh crewmembers can plan on rarely if ever seeing EC on deadheads in the future.

That sucks. However I don't see it as an anti pilot move, just a revenue initiative.

Thanks, this makes me happy. I like the company and want to do the right thing for both them and us. It just bummed me out thinking this may have been some kind of ***** slap. I am all for sitting in the way back if it makes the company money. except for the free tv on the 73s one seat is much like another

I agree about their intentions, but as previously stated this changes the status quo of my work environment and cannot be accepted. I hope it doesn't take Tim getting another 45 day unpaid vacation to get ALPA moving this time.

Those are contractual items. Our PWA AFAIK doesn't stipulate that pilots must have an EC seat on a Domestic DH.
