This is incorrect and a quick search of comfort plus on the travelnet will show a memo dated today about nonrevs and psup should be put into business class first then comfort plus if available.

no, it's not. Try reading the monthly update that went out today from Crew Resources. It clearly states it is no longer available for deadhead bookings or company business. Further, it states that PSUP will not be added to the Comfort Plus upgrade list like the first class upgrade list. Thanks for playing though....

It states that for now you have to see the agent to be added to the list. There is no automatic way to do it. You can no longer self upgrade 24 hours prior.

Pretty obvious that pilots are going to be getting a lot fewer Comfort+ seats while deadheading.
Seems like a change in our working conditions.
Too bad there's not some law preventing changes to the working conditions status quo.

Guess it's time for the company to rein in any non-contract bene so that there is more to "negotiate" for....

I had a conversation with three different agents about the new clearing process and all three said they don't have time to mess around with two separate lists. Said basically they'll start filling the plane from front to back and be done with it.

Yup, but if you ain't on the list, you ain't on the list. You can be on the upgrade list, but you'll be last (behind upgrades) for the EC seats if you can't lock one in 24 hours prior.

Why would they do this? Is this literally as petty and childish as it sounds at face value? Or is it because of some revenue they were missing out on? I'm very sad if what is happening is what I think is happening. Is anyone going to fold because they took away your Econ comf? Nope, it will just strengthen resolve. Must have been the same dude that came up with the 5 cents

They are converting economy comfort to a new fare class. Essentially we are going back to the old 3 class aircraft. First/Business/Coach. They are doing it because they believe it will generate increased revenue.

For the longest time there was no such animal as Economy Comfort, and we dh countless times without it.

This sucks...but is has nothing to do with pilots and contract negotiations. It is about the company trying to generate more revenue, plain and simple...it still sucks though.
