Got this international SOS card with my ER training package (at least that's where I think I got it, I really am not sure now). Throw it out or is it somewhat useful? I've already got a Castanza wallet, I don't need another worthless card.

But does your Costanza wallet have a "Learn Guitar" pull-tab in it? 😆

Pretty sure it's proven that the more a person sits, the earlier they are likely to...umm...expire. I encourage all the As to keep their seat while I do the walk-around :-)

I had a friend kind of bragging about a trip he had with a particularly unhealthy capt. On the trip, he bought the capt a bunch of cinnabuns to see how many he would eat on a transcon. Later he bought him a carton of cigarettes.

I prefer pushing them down the escalator.:D

I couldnt care less if a Capt takes a lap of the plane for me. But, if he makes the bunk...well, he's a keeper.

Everytime we fly over a lake, or down the coast of Florida, I remark, "look at all those guys having fun on their boat. I bet they are loving retirement. I bet you'd love retirement!" :D

I always let the captains get out first when the van door opens into the road. Timing is everything with the traffic. Downtown Seattle layover is perfect. But what goes around, comes around, reference karma. :D

Confident or not, it's a good thing you didn't bet your life.... :D

All trips touching the Shadow are for pay purposes only--they are never actually awarded to you & remain in the "pot" for PBS to award to junior bidders. You are paid for all trips so dropped, including any day(s) beyond the Shadow.

FOs do your job. Let the captains do theirs. I have done walk around after captains, not out of distrust out of a sense of responsibility and a need to stretch. Do you give him a break and brief the crew? The duties are divided so the crew concept works in a timely manner when thing are running smoothly. I still volunteer to assist if I think I can be helpful and not just a distraction.
