Sure, Debbie Downer.

There are now 138 X 767-400 F/Os and 133X A-330 F/Os that were not there many years ago at the ER peak. And those jobs pay better than ER F/Os.

How's that for positivity?

.

Well, no need for name calling, brother, I think we want the same things.
The -400 was there and so was the 777. I am well aware that they pay better than the ER, but thank you for informing us nevertheless! ER had no domestic.
Keep trying your positivity! Sailing's is a lot better! ;)

Considering what has been happening the last 4 years in Europe I am surprised we have as much flying as we do. It's nice that we are the number 1 carrier in the world over the Atlantic.

I feel better now, thx!

My captain has got requal scheduled for the 1st 2 days of a 4 day domestic trip I have later this month.

Will the company buy the entire trip or will they just buy the 1st 2 days and then DH me out to pick it up midway through?

Thanks

DH to pickup trip normally however schedulers do strange things sometimes.

Thanks.

I haven't been here all that long and I've definitely scratched my head at a few things scheduling has done. My last trip was bought for OE, all except the 1st leg. I just assumed since we were flying to DTW as leg one that it was a guy who lived in DTW and had worked a good deal with training. As it turned out he lived in TPA, they DH'd him to DTW the night prior and he picked up the trip on leg 2. No idea why they didn't just DH him to ATL instead and start the trip on the 1st leg. Made zero sense, maybe they thought I needed some practice waking up or using the radio.

Kudos to whomever wrote the FCR that appeared in the Flight Operations weekly update. Anybody here? (edit: not the company-line response of course, just the FCR itself)

Not true, ER was a int'l category for years.

It wasn't me but I concur 100%. So could we consider a continuous 15' roll of NOTAMs a "scroll?" :D

I submitted a very similar FCR approx 1 year ago. LGA-TPA had 16.5 ft worth of NOTAM's. I received a call from a member of the NOTAM working committee the very next day.

Nothing prevents a international category from flying domestic and I personally flew many of those trips. The 330 flies domestic trips today. The L15 flew domestic trips out of LAX when we had domestic L10's. The only change is prior to the bankruptcy if you flew a domestic trip the company still had to pay the international override. That is no longer the case. There were no contractual changes when the company switched the 767 to all ER categories and eliminated the domestic.
