Another bidding question since we're on the subject. (sorry for the drift)
If a person only has 20 (vacation) days to bid for the calendar year. How does one instruct the system to bid ten days for Primary vaca. and then have the remaining ten days for Secondary vaca.? Asked another way. Is it possible to bid greater than one week of primary vacation days, but less than two weeks, to leave a minimum of seven days or greater for the secondary vacation bidding? Thanks. |

I have the same question. Is it just the desktop app that is changing? Can I still just go to the PBS website and enter a bid, or do I have to use the PBS desktop app to submit a bid? I guess I don't get it. I don't see anything about the new interface display/functions that are better than EasyBid. I do have basic questions: if DL recommends I use Google Chrome... why didn't they pre-install it. And... shouldn't the darn thing "sync" automatically or at least be a one button push? I'm gonna go look at all the videos and maybe I'll be a convert. Bye Yall, OFG

Hey guys, when you request a vacation slide in your bid, does it have to be to another week's start date or could you move it to odd days like a wed-tues?

You can do a range, too. |

It's day by day. As in, you can request to slide -1, -2, -3, ... etc. and/or +1, +2, +3. +4....

I've seen more blurbs about the new PBS app from DALPA and the Company than I care to count. Bottom line -- we can still use the normal PBS link on Deltanet for the time being, correct?

You're half right. It isn't complaining or arguing, it IS making excuses (which I'm not doing). And if you take a chuck in the face, it's more likely that you didn't have SA...not that you lost it.
Green slips aren't paid for committing to fulfill a schedule (see GS on reserve, which you can get without ever flying again in the month). They are paid to help the company get out of a pickle. Mil leave-takers can do that just as well as pure civilian pilots. Loss of SA could be during the brief or at MAR, or wherever. I would constitute that comment as "quibbling" 🙃 |

I used the same old PBS to put in all my bids. Then when I went to check out the new web app, it had my bids uploaded into it...so I assume we're still good to use the old system.
Once the new system becomes the 'official bidding system', all the emails say that both the current desktop software and the current online version is going to "sunset". Since they are using that phrase, and since they're giving all the warnings about easybid not being able to interface with the new system, it sounds like they're going to simply shut down the old online system and disable the desktop software interface. At least that is what 'sunset' makes me think. |

If mil leave users want to get a GS, then there is also a contractual remedy for that--bid a reserve line, and GS on reserve off days. I just don't see any push to allow for MLOA to be counted against the regular line GS trigger like vacation is. I suppose if the company came to us with that request (which I doubt they ever will) then we might consider it. But I don't ever want to waste negotiating capital otherwise for something that they likely never considered or wanted in the first place.
As a mil guy myself I don't think mil should count toward the GS trigger for a line. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |
