I didn't get a full refund. GA taxes me like 800 dollars and I am getting 600 back. No clue if I did it correctly but like you I also felt like I was getting screwed because a lot of money I was double taxed on.

I did Turbotax. Filed Federal, GA, and my state. In that order. I'm no genius, but it walked me through it with no hitches.
The gist is that your 'training pay' is income earned and taxable in GA, and once you converted to 'flight pay' (post IOE) it is income earned and taxable in your tax home state. It's not double taxed because each state asks if you had any income earned in another state and then excludes that income from its calculations. You should be able to designate how much of your annual income was attributed to each state, indicate how much tax was withheld from each state and your refund/bill should be calculated separately. The kicker for me is that I had to file GA for two years since I started training late in one year and didn't complete IOE until mid-January the NEXT year. I earned a couple hundred bucks attributed to GA income the second year, but still had to file. What a PITA!!!! |
Anyone know if we can take family or friends to an all-inclusive layover, and if so, what the fee would be? (i.e. Punta Cana) Thanks.

When I stayed at an all-inclusive in MBJ, they charged me about $80 for my wife to partake in the resort. Not sure about Punta Cana though.

If it's a he Paradisus, I don't recommend it. Nice beach/pools, but the food was terrible. I can think I lost weight last week,,;

Was there last week and asked the same question at the front desk. If you are at the Riu Palace in LIR, the cost for an additional family member is $95/night. That covers all the food/drink/room service/fridge items etc. Food was good with a wide selection. Nightly entertainment was worth seeing.

Any veteran RCCL cruisers?
Hi All,
Going on first cruise this Spring break, Oasis of Seas to Nassau, St Thomas and St Maarten. Any good gouge for teen excursions and dining options for adults? Thanks! |
