Thanks.

break break

I have a long LHR layover and would like to bring my wife. Is she on her own to and from the hotel? If so, anybody already blaze this trail and have recommendations? She's never been to England so priorities are easy then cheap.

Wifey cannot ride bus to hotel in LHR....it's easy for her, though. Took my 17 year old son with me last 4th. He made it to hotel no problem. Customs clearance was piece of cake and tube station at airport terminal was easy to get to...drop me a pm if you need any more info...

You'll get your assignment for that 3-4 weeks outside of school.

Wifey cannot ride the bus at LHR, and you MUST ride the bus. Kind of a PITA. Just flew with a guy who made that mistake (went thru normal customs with his family). BIG no-no. The Queen gets pi$$ed!

But strangely enough it is okay at CDG. Just tested and confirmed with local ops. On the return leg give your nonrev plenty of time to get thru security. Riding the bus with you may not be early enough for them (we took the metro to get to CDG 2+30 prior).

Domestic, why did I always think min layover was 10.5 hours? I thought 30 min after block to una$$ the airport, 10.5 off, then hour report (basically 12 hours block in to block out).

But Im apparently wrong.

I always noticed the min trips were built with was 10.5, now seeing a bunch with 10 hours 15 min.

I think the FAR requirement is 10 hours, with a contractual stipulation for 8 hours behind the door.

So if your timecard shows 19hours of "Reroute Pay" -- this is over and above any pay shown above by trip breakdown, correct?
