I'm not sorry. As a contract worker, you don't get equal benefits to the mainline partner. You're lucky you get any at all. Some contract ramp workers don't.

I think it is a fair gesture to raise Endeavor above retirees. I don't, however agree with them going ahead of active parents.

This 100%....

I understand that retirees put in a lot of work for the company during their tenure but it's incredibly frustrating to be trying to go to work only to have the jumpseat occupied and the cabin filled with everyone but you because you weren't high enough on the standby list.

I was once in a position to help a retiree get on a flight by taking the jumpseat but after hearing him complain to his friend about the flight benefits of subsidiaries, do you think I did that? No. Am I a better person for it? No. Is this the type of environment that the sentiment that we at Endeavor don't deserve as much as mainline employees even though we fly 800+ Delta Connection flights a day to feed mainline? Yes.

as a former regional guy, the sooner you realize you are a subcontractor the better. I get that you have to get to work, I was a commuter at the regionals too. That being said, a subcontractor should never get priority over a mainline employee on mainline metal.

You said it yourself...you don't work for Delta, you work for Endeavor. Like it our not...Endeavor is NOT Delta. It is still Endeavor. No animosity toward Endeavor employees. Just don't like seeing Delta benefits being eroded by employees of a company that is not Delta. Obviously Delta management can do this as it is not contractual, but don't expect the mainline employees (or retirees) to be happy about it. It's amusing you feel like you "deserve" it because you fly "Delta" passengers. Let me ask you this. Are you happy flying 800+ Delta Connection flights to feed mainline, or would you like to actually become a Delta employee and fly for mainline some day?
PS. It's nothing personal against Endeavor or it's employees. I hope they all work for Delta eventually.

But you’re ok bumping a regional pilot on their own metal.

We do work for Delta, they own us, the same as you.

What does it say on your paycheck?

What's your Delta seniority number?

Our planes say Endeavor on the side but you can bump us off it.

That's a bad example, Endeavor uses Delta payroll to save money.

It seems like its highly personal when we're being identified solely based on the name of the company on our I.D's, regardless of years of service. (Even though the back of my Endeavor ID says that its property of Delta Air Lines)

I'm also not sure why you have quotation marks around the word "Delta" when referring to our passengers. We are 100% owned by Delta and exclusively fly Delta passengers. Not "Delta" passengers .

In any case, you're entitled to your own opinion. But I'm sure if you were me and got denied boarding because some mainline employee with green hair, a bolt in his eyebrow and a hire date months after me gets on my planned flight home ahead of me, you'd be as upset as me when it happened.

Also, FYI, AA doesn't have this type of hierarchy in their non-rev agreement. Whether you work for mainline or their regionals, everyone travels at the same priority. Because at the end of the day, they all contribute to the same bottom line (as do we).

this is a heated debate. I see both sides. It's the regional's metal, so their pilots should get priority, but at the same time it only exists because the mainline partner and should get priority since they own the seats. I think it's done the fairest on compass where both the mainline and regional employee have the same priority and it's by DOH....which after looking is the same with every connection carrier except Skywest/Xjet
