How far in advance do you usually get notified in being removed for oe? Will I get a notification or will it just show L on my rotation? I have a 3 day in 2 and 1/2 weeks and I’m kind of figuring that if there was oe it would be on there by now
You will be on the hook until then! |

If there are no 'L' notations by each leg and a training note on the bottom by 4-5 days prior, it's probably not going to happen. 7pm night prior is when you get released from your obligation to fly if needed when OE is being conducted.

I'm senior enough in my category to hold a lot of LCA trips, however, I don't prioritize that when bidding. That being said, I stumble into a couple of them a year. Have yet to be called the night prior to be released. Not going to look a gift horse in the mouth, but as a commuter it would be nice......

Call the LCA and ask for it. They’re humans.

I've had two rotations as an OE student where the displaced F/O found out when he showed up at the gate only to get sent home. Only twice, so very low percentage i'm sure, but it can happen. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |
