[QUOTE=StartngOvr;2591852]I've had two rotations as an OE student where the displaced F/O found out when he showed up at the gate only to get sent home. Only twice, so very low percentage i'm sure, but it can happen.

I used to always bid LCA trips. I was called between1830 and 2000, 90% of the time. 9.5% of the time I just checked and acknowledged my schedule. The other 0.5% I had to report and then got released, but that was always during IROPs. Especially IT induced IROPs....

Winning.

.5% indicates at least 200 trip buys, or roughly 4-5 years of getting paid to not fly.

SIN is flown by a 767er.

I don’t think there is a need. We have 17 of the TWA aircraft and the markets they can serve are pretty limited.

I assumed 1stMOB was referring to aircraft once in the fleet of Singapore airlines (I have no clue if such a craft exists), as opposed to planes utilized by Delta to fly to Singapore. Used A/C acquisition rumors are a nice consolation prize for the seemingly unlikely prospect of Boeing restarting the 757 line, for those of us who think these are the coolest machines to ever take to the air. I'm all ears.

I see an authorization for a hotel on the front of a 4-day NYC green slip. I've heard of getting parking authorized, but never a hotel room. Has that always been in their bag of tricks? And is it also potentially available for OOBGS?

Once on the 88 they left me a voicemail about a GS authorizing me to rent a car from my home airport and drive to the overnight destination of the 88 (about 2.5 hours away) with one leg to ATL in the morning and a DH back home.

I was on a mini vacation at the time and couldn't do it, but from the tenor of the voicemail, they could make just about anything work to make that flight happen in the morning.
