Still doesn’t help when I can’t answer. Unlike some, I intentionally leave the house without my phone when I’m on my time. Per Delta, I can’t answer it on their time. Opinion only but I think the phone surveys are far from statistically representative. No holiday inn last night but my significant other was a marketing reasearch analyst and says they are bogus FWIW. If the word is out that this is retirement focused, who do you think picks up the phone or ensures the number is not missed?
That said, there’s no perfect solution but thoughtful contemplation from those who care to participate is better IMHO.

So apparently the monthly update is down to just 2 items. Base newsletters are no longer emailed to us -- they're on Skyhub.
Can't find them on Skyhub.
Anyone?

I just guessing, but I think it was so short (and abnormally late) due to the Christmas/New Years holiday schedule. I would think the normal monthly update would return beginning of Feb.

It looks like Delta is cancelling FUK service:

Exactly my point they are looking at a volume number to get a representative sample not a cross section. If you don't answer do they call someone else of the same age, base, seat and commute status? The answer is no, they move on to the next randomly generated phone number with the assumption the database they are provided is equally valid for all individuals. There is no time of day adjustment for those on international layovers or even those on the west coast. Sampling hours, availability of the subject, accurate phone numbers and other factors all add error to the sample.

The problem with surveys (assuming low turnout) is that they are not much different than a FOX/MSNBC “go online to vote” survey. A huge self selection bias that will attract the most vocal which does not represent a actual crosssection of the population (pilot group in this case). As an example, one need to look at just about any social media site including this one when there is a “poll” taken on a TA. The results are never anywhere close to the ultimate poll which is the vote itself.
I know there will be an argument that anyone who doesn’t complete the survey shouldn’t matter, but that is not fairly representing all pilots and the survey is also subject to more gamesmanship than polling. As an example “I want a 100 percent raise!” in an attempt to drive the percentage ask up, but that is not their real ask.
The survey this time was also awful IMO. Trying to assign percentage wants on 10 issues at a time etc had a lot of my peers leaving it unfinished. I also think the way it was worded is going to leave the NC in a bind at some point when there are 132 items that are “must haves” instead of accurately defining the level of importance.
Glad to hear that they accommodated your schedule.
