I just noticed on the CQ training requirements that I'm listed with a "May Go". I went into PBS to put an avoid training, but if I'm listed I'm pretty much going correct? I've always been an early go, so this one I'm trying to figure out since it could severely mess up my December vacation sliding plans etc.

Everyone eligible is listed in that training requirements list. Put in an avoid voluntary training bid and some backup bids in case it can’t honor the avoid request

You would be amazed at the number of pilots who fail to bid for CQ.

If the number of pairings equal the number of eligible pilots, you're all going whether you want to or not. All CQ pairings will be filled.

If that's the case (same number of CQ patterns as eligible bidders), make sure you bid for specific CQ patterns that work best for you. If you have to go, you might as well try to rack and stack the options.

The Golden days give you some protection. If there are 24 patterns and 24 eligible you are 97% going. As others mentioned first choice is to defer the training and then list patterns down to where you sit seniority wise.
