I have to sort of disagree with all you guys saying it’s a dick move posting the video. I watched it just now and part of me was thinking he made some dumb mistakes, and the other part was also thinking that i have made plenty of dumb mistakes myself. Surely we can all learn something from what transpired. Obviously he made several bad decisions just like any of us could do inside or outside the aircraft. From watching the video, it seems like he may have made some mistakes during the actual interview as well, and no one would want to repeat those if god forbid they were in a similar situation. When someone messes up and has an accident in an aircraft, we all read the reports and watch the safety videos, and although different this is along the same lines. Hopefully this guy recovers well and best of luck to him, but i think it’s more about learning from his mistakes and not just trying to ignore the information that is out there about it.

I wouldn't have posted it. But it's enlightening to see what all can make it to prime time. I wouldn't have expected booking interview video to be so accessible. Good reminder not to say squat without a lawyer present.

Never, ever, ever talk to the police unless your lawyer is present.

Did anybody catch the part where the interviewer says that when he first approached him in the cockpit he offered to let him go as in just remove himself from the trip and go home? It was only after he refused to remove himself they opted to the for the breathalyzer.

Can't fix stupid if that's true.

Yep he would’ve been fine if he’d either just left when given the chance at the aircraft or clammed up in the interview. Lots of lessons here.
