My WARTS brief normally takes 35 minutes, with numerous “pauses” for reflecting on various “what if scenarios”.... For safety’s sake....

You can't do that! Briefs are meant to be BRIEF. But, you will also get criticized during training if you actually perform a brief briefing . You know, fly like we train and train like we fly...
Not by me. You won’t be criticized by me if you have an effective but brief briefing. I like to point out FOM 5.1.1, especially the fifth and sixth sentences that give us guidance on how to be brief. Especially in this MV cycle where we fly the same approach multiple times. |

Navblu
Is there a way to get the NAVBLU analyze function to work consistently? Sometimes it seems to work but sometimes it returns a lot of trips that that are not within the parameters. I think I remember reading it did not work but that was a while ago - anybody have any luck with this?
Thanks Scoop |

I’d I remember right, you have to remove any condition bids to make it work. Like prefer off. At that point it seems less than useful as I care more about which days than which trips, but that’s just me.

Read the Roosevelt in NYC is shutting down; not enough business to continue after months of COVID.
Didn't quite make it for the centennial. (opened in 1924). Alas. Never thought I'd miss those tiny rooms, cramped elevators, and cheap pizza around the block. 2020 sucks. |
