I have to commend the Delta PR team...it looks like they have done a pretty good job at keeping the reason for the crew cancels on the DL..pun intended

That is a good point. Unless, the DL contract tracing and mandatory grounding of identified crewmembers is more conservative than the others are using? I have no idea what mandates the others are using. If the blocked middle seat piece is an indicator, DL seems to be more conservative. Just a thought.
"While we have recently seen an uptick in COIVD cases with our pilots over the last few weeks concurrent with the nationwide increases, cancellation numbers would not suggest that COVID issues are the cause in this case," Chris Riggins, a Delta first officer and ALPA spokesman, said in the union statement. "It's also important to note that sick calls are down over last year despite being embroiled in a global pandemic." |

I'm curious if many pilots are on NFLY due to COVID contact tracing and perhaps that was part of the issue. Not just on NFLY, but how many are outright sick with the spike in cases.

I see lots of G in various categories for the last couple of days...but I don't see codes for GSWC and can't ascertain from the help button (unless I'm missing it) what that would be. Surely GSWC would be kicking the can down the road and is a glove save for bigger problems, but did the company go cheap on us and choose to cancel Thanksgiving travelers over paying up for GSWC? It seems like they could have gone more "all in" to "wow" these newly-returning travelers on the most critical opportunity since COVID hit (IMHO).

If in doubt as to the codes, just hit the help button on the bottom left of the trip awards screen. There are two pages of them....even a “T”. Who’d a known!

the code is C for in base Green Slip with conflict. I saw a few of those on AtL717b a day or two ago.
Just hit “HELP” on the Trip Coverage page for an explanation of codes. |

Love to know what percentage of pilots are on long term indefinite NQAT status, but I'm too lazy (and T-bird stuffed) to look it up.
