Those of you that have gotten COVID recently, do you think you were exposed at home or at work? I was really careful early on, wiping the cockpit down, sanitizing my hands 30 times a day, but like many, I don’t know if it’s laziness or desensitizing, but I haven’t been as careful recently. I still haven’t gotten it.

I’ve been tested 3 times and tested once for antibodies. Negatives across the board.

I believe I was exposed at home. Family member tested positive first. However, I was on a 4 day prior. It effects everyone differently.

In the cockpit at work is like the perfect storm for being exposed to Covid..You are touching everything others are, and I have noticed most guys I fly with have stopped wiping everything down now. You get not only germs from others pilots, you are getting whomever they were exposed too as well.

Sounds like visiting the PI in the ‘80s/90s.

If they choose not to get vaccinated that is their problem, NOT MINE. After the vaccine is widely available (Q3/4 2021)I will not wear a mask because someone chooses to not get a vaccine!

That’s a BS excuse for their screw up on the displacement bid. Why would Delta pilots be getting COVID more than AA, UA or SW pilots? Those airlines hardly canceled any flights. But the don’t do 210 and 365 day bids. They do small AEs planning training 30-120 days out. This better regulated staffing with demand and marketing changes.

Haven’t you heard? St Fauci has said that even after we’ve all gotten the vaccine we must continue to wear face masks...... Science!!

Except there are people who are unable to take vaccines due to auto-immune disorders and such. So if someone refuses to get vaccinated, it isn’t only THEIR problem as it can, and likely will, affect those who rely on the rest of us who are able to be vaccinated to actually get vaccinated.

I suspect it has a lot to do with separate rotations. When an FO operates 7 legs with 5 different captains and then tests positive, all 5 captains are grounded. Similar events for every 4-day rotation chopped up into three separate green slips. I don't think our peers are similarly slaves to an optimizer.

But it's more efficient this way.
