I've had good success calling scheds and asking for clarification. In my last RES assignment, me and another guy both had SC...same start time....same days of availability. I was senior and had a larger RAW score. When i got tagged with the lone assignment I called and asked....after 6-9 minues of keyboard typing and periods of hold, scheduler came back and said the person was NQ for not completing CQ....I then asked why he was now siting his 2nd SC for the month if he wasn't legal to even touch the airplane.....I was told "I don't assign SC's, I'll pass that on to my supervisor".

I know two guys personally in my category that are NQ for CQ, but don't have NQ on their schedule and keep showing up on the Reserve Avail List.

Delta IT for the win.....

I showed up on the reserve availability list continuously throughout my 30 hours of assigned rest.

Until/ unless it's fixed, the list should simply be called the "reserve pilots who are more than likely not on X days" list. Instead of RAL, it's simply the RPWAMTLNOXDL.

Totally agree. When I returned from LTD, I showed on the RAL immediately. Utterly ridiculous.

Why we see a different product than CS is absolutely beyond me. It shouldn’t be this hard (sts).

It likely isn’t that hard. But why would Delta pay for it when they can just sit back and wait for DALPA to have to burn negotiating capital to fix it (because the pilots are ****ed about it and want it changed)?

ULC Reserve

Is Ultra Long Call (ULC) reserve available for bid in January or are we waiting for the next Issac Newton to invent a new form of math to allow DAL IT to implement this?

Maybe we can borrow the WOPR from War Games - if not I heard HAL was available. :)

Scoop

Unfortunately the HAL has moved on and got a job doing security for Tesla vehicles.

The WOPR was sued by Burger King and is now working all their stores as the “Kiosk Manager”

Bidding reserve in January with CQ in the month.

On the John Bell spreadsheet calculator when I type in "3" for CQ, it then says in that line, "CQ does not prorate."

But it should, shouldn't it? I have 3 days of CQ and that will partly go towards reserve.

Anyone see this before?

CQ doesn't prorate. They will count as three days of availability though. Just bid a string of days of availability knowing you will not get a trip touching those days. I used to bid CQ when I wanted to go and bid reserve around it. Usually I'd bid a 5 day stretch of reserve with the 3 CQ days in the middle resulting in only 1 day of availability on each side with almost no possibility of getting assigned a trip there. You will get paid extra for the month with training.

According to Ed, January 1st all merit and hourly ground employees will return to full schedules. Any thoughts on this?

I think it sounds positive.
