I just had Jury duty scheduled. There is not much you can do. The contract requires immediate notification to the company. They will block the day or days and pay you 5:15 per day. This time will count toward the line construction window in PBS. That part bit me when bidding.
If the jury duty is extended after the bids are awarded and it conflicts with the rotation the conflict will be dropped and paid.

Thanks. So bidding a trip or on call days following my one day of jury duty could work if i happen to get additional days of jury duty.

This is only partly true. The don’t necessarily drop the whole trip. They sometimes just carve it up and release you when in base. I had jury duty come up after the schedulemcame out and they had me work the first two days of a 5 day.

That is why I posted the conflict will be dropped and paid. They can split a trip to do that. It’s less likely in the situation posted since splitting the trip might cost them more if he ends up getting used.
I have found that if during jury questioning you loudly ask if you will get to witness the execution your likelyhood of getting picked for a criminal trial goes way down!

Wow. Lots of unexpected stuff in weekly update. And no C series on the April AE - shocker... displacements and VB. Lots to discuss.
