Well that's weird because the bid packages say "RLL and projected regular line count are the same value." Why the difference with PBS line counts?

Here’s a question I should know the answer to but don’t.
I have a regular line trip that ends on March 1st. Last leg (on March 1st) is worth 10:25. If I bid a reserve line for March, what happens if I’m rerouted into March 2nd? I know about losing any trip credit and the 10:25 would apply to reserve guarantee for March, but can I “protect” the 10:25 by bidding an X day on March 2nd (and get paid the 10:25 above reserve guarantee in March in this instance? Trying to decide whether to bid a regular or reserve line. Thanks, Denny |
As long as Denny is asking a question he says he should know the answer to and doesn't, I'll making him feel better by doing the same because I can't find the actual paragraph anywhere in the contract.
A reserve pilot gets a trip assigned and it ends at 21:30. So 22:00 de-brief. While they're out flying that trip's last day, scheduling is assigning trips for the next day. Can this reserve be assigned a trip the next day that is 10 hours after their current trip ends, which would be 08:00, or in advance is it still 12 hours between rotations, so nothing earlier than 10:00 sign-in? |

PWA: 23.S.2.a.4 A reserve pilot will not be.. assigned a rotation that.. has a report that is less than 12 hours after his release at his base. |

I think there needs to be 12 hours between reserve trips. I'll look for the PWA reference but someone might have it handy.

It's been a while since I've been on short call. Will scheduling still release you two hours early if you ask nicely?

Public service announcement:
I’m about to finish an entire 4-day without talking about masks or politics. It’s effing incredible, and I suggest more people try it! Carry on... |
