That is what happens when you pay talented and experienced employees to leave. We've had tens of thousands of years worth of experience walk out the doors in the last 18 months. For those of us remaining I'd venture the GAS (give a s...) factor is lower than it has been in over a decade. Do you care more or less about your job performance than you did two years ago? Multiply that answer by 70,000 employees.

*In 2019 Delta employed 90,000 people.

I can no longer recall the exact details of the non cons early retirement deal. But I do remember thinking it was an IQ test--if you were anywhere near retirement age and had any math ability it would be really hard to justify not taking it.

In my neck of the world we lost a lot of really smart people. And the ones who stayed seem to indicate that yeah it was an IQ test.

Opinion only

It isn't just an IQ test, there is also a motivation component. In a previous career as an office cubicle dweller, re-orgs and early retirement packages almost always meant talented people were leaving for greener pastures. It wasn't just those close to retirement who left. Great employees with bright futures and positive attitudes were often part of the exodus. Those with dimmer career prospects couldn't find a place to go. Early out packages are almost always a HUGE talent drain.

Yeah my comment was overly unkind. Little frustration dealing with some folks who didn't retire, making me miss the competence of those who did.

Totally get your point regarding smart motivated people. Snarkiness aside, for the folks near retirment age, it would have been extremeely hard to find a logical reason to not take the deal.

Here's a tip - this USB-C adapter - https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1 allows me to connect our new iPad Pro (M1) to a TV via HDMI for watching CQ videos, e-brief videos, or other streaming video on a big screen. Worked for Netflix or HBO Max when I tried those out. ;-) It showed the iPad screen in 1080, but when I watched a 4k Netflix show it switched to 4k.

Either use your own HDMI cable, or there is another Anker one available on Amazon that has a cable as part of it, I haven't tried it out but looks the same https://www.amazon.com/Anker-Adapter...cs%2C96&sr=1-1

From knowledge of buying other iPad accessories, cheaper, no-name ones have a tendency to not work after an update or two to the iPad - I'd pay the few extra $$ and I'd stick with the Anker.

They don’t come with the plastic peel off covering on the screen?

The iPads are new but already opened since they have to first be set up by the company. So all the normal initial Apple packaging has been removed. The package you get includes the ipad box but the iPad itself comes already in the pivot case.

I know by law the company has to post W2s by Jan 31st. But with the IRS opening up filings starting tomorrow, what are the chances the company posts W2s by tomorrow?
