Yep that is true.
A/C will be moved. Not sure if it will close but the qualified responses from our leadership make it seem that it may be a memory as of late next year.

To the NWA guys who are going to be flying the shuttle next year.....

A little bit of good information. If you are leaving from DCA on the first flight in the morning do not depart before 7am. Since you will be new to this even the tower will try to get you to depart before 7am just so they can send a nasty letter to our chief pilot about a noise abatement violation of curfew.

Have fun on the Kory 3 arrival.

Shuttle? What!! 4-5 legs a day up and down the East coast, in and out of DCA, BOS, and LGA? I think I'd rather go to Flint, and Minot. Well, Flint at least. What's all this shuttle talk anyway? :)

You haven't lived until you've held in all of the holding fixes on the Korry Three Arrival ... in the same flight!

Yeah, I don't know how the Korry is on the DC9. Now the Milton Arrival, that's a different story. Ugh! That arrival is dreadful to fly on the DC9!

Delta Shuttle, hourly service on the half-hour from LGA to DCA or BOS. The flight are 35 minutes long. They serve a snack or breakfast with all you can drink Samuel Adams beer and wine. In-flight Wi-fi service is starting.

Expect to fly 5 legs a day ... or shorter depending on your rotation.

Unemployment line... here we come!!!

acl65pilot 11-12-2008 08:39 AM

Yeah, I cannot imagine a worse situation. DC-9 in the Northeast with Multiple short legs a day. I am sure that will go very senior....

The Boston Shuttle would be no problem on the DC-9. The Washington Shuttle might suck on the return trip flying the Korry Three -- especially if you get the holding patterns.

Typically, if they are holding aircraft, you get to spend one turn in the hold and then you are released.
