If anyone could pull double duty it would be Leon. Imagine all the Texas/TCU Coeds that guy gets.

That smile would be on any ER pilots face if that was their Jepp manual. I'm surprised my flight kit survived the ER even with the "FO's can bring half the Jepps and CA's the other half! "

We're talking about maybe merging with Alaska, not Republic. Alaska is a career airline that pays well. If we do merge, these pilots deserve respect and will become Delta pilots. Career expectations change daily. Alaska Airlines could easily order some wide-bodies some day if this merger never happens.

Yes they could and DAL could also order several 777's or 747's, but any SLI would have to take into account present conditions, orders, etc. not future possibilities.

No one seems to know whether these planes are truly staying on or going the way of the DC-9-30's and 40's. But that's 19 or 22 more planes depending on how you look at it.

At last check none of these plans have been touched since the merger (paint, interior). But I keep hearing rumblings that these 755's will be staying through 2010 now...
The ones Ive been flying have the new flight directors, acars and printers. My guess is they'll stay for a while.
