Do not forget the China Southern ones. We have not announced the JAL birds yet either.

I hope we go all out and pay the extra $ to get the seat entertainment systems that actually work - as opposed to the discount non-working ones that we have in many of our aircraft.

I agree, the Panasonic IFE's stink. Actually it is not the system but the power to them.

Ya know we have limiters on the seat chargers. It can run a computer or change it, but not both at the same time.......

In reality, many of these all hinge on JAL.

JAL deal or no deal

GUM waiting for approval of a base. Anywhere between 150-300 pilots

New aircraft. That is a real deal. Total of over 40 MD-90s (does not include the JAL 90's) Maybe some more and bigger ones, but once again it is based on the JAL deal

Hiring, short term the JAL deal will decide this as well.

A few others that had not made it here, but they are real too!
Be sure to tell me where to sent my money for my share of the powerball ticket

No kidding. Talk about somethng that really chaffs the pax. Just did a 6 hour leg from MCO-LAX and the IFE was inop. Not a lot of happy campers by the time we got to LAX. It can't be that expensive to actually buy an IFE that is dependable, can it?

We could but we would still pay for the one we originally signed the contract for.

Oh, never mind. I'm still hurting from yesterday's Packer loss. Great game, but heartbreaking nonetheless.

I know, we will get em next year......

I have talked to the Techs about the IFE. Even our guys state it is a power supply/source issue and not the software. Too many spikes etc. I guess they are in the process of up-gauging the wire that they use to get the power to the system from the buses. They say that is to alleviate/ stop the constant resets.

Yeah, I've figured out a pretty good work around for the 800 that normally works. Pull the CBs, wait about a minute, and reset. Normally works. Not so much on Friday night when we had 185 knots on the nose and logged a 6.1 in the "cockpit o' pain."
