Airline Pilot Central Forums - Any "Latest & Greatest" about Delta?

Don't take the claim personal, this guys have been fighting for years to keep something that was never theirs without Roberts.

So if we buy Spirit, and fence their pilots off of the 767 and 777 are those pre-merger DAL pilots then holding those acft out of seniority?

My guess is if/when Spirit comes in to play we will be acquiring their route authorities to Latin America. They are ALPA and if it is a merger or fragmentation, policy should apply.

Your explanation of the evil greedy out of seniority widebody captain Ninjas is fascinating. It is being soaked up by some of the same characters who just recently advocated a long (permanent?) fence to keep Alaska pilots off of "our" widebodies. After all Alaska doesn't have any widebodies and those pilots were hired with no expectation of ever flying one. Sorta like Republic merging with Northwest, huh?

Don't know but either way it's a welcome change. I've talked to him several times and he seems like a good guy and knows his stuff. He's not afraid to answer any question and never shuts you down, albeit in my limited experience.
