I do not mind being perceived as being in second spot. It is a better place to be. Ppl tend to forget about you, or not give you the pause the need to. JAL even admitted we were better. Well I think that DAL will be able to show them that they were correct. Standby. As for LGA. Ugly politics. I am sure this will not just be water under the bridge. As for the big jets, game ain't over yet. Standby. |

MEM maintenance
For anybody passing through MEM, great news....maintenance has been eliminated! Not even Swissport is available anymore.
We flew through there today and tried to call in a couple of minor items and we were told that we had to coordinate all write-ups with OCC. I called dispatch and he confirmed that only the AMS flight would have maintenance available, all others would be contract only. Two contract guys came out and deferred the items while coordinating with MC. I spoke to the CP and he was confused just like me. I can't believe they think operating a hub without mechanics will work! Things must be worse financially than I thought, unless this is the beginning of the end of MEM. Whatever it is, it was a real downer for all the agents. |

Hey ACL,
About 2 months ago you intimated that there was some big things about to come to light in the near future. Was it the JAL thing or are we getting closer to something else coming up? |
There are many things that are in the works right now. JAL was option one. There are three or four other long term things that they "appear" to be working on.
Think in terms of years not weeks. We should see some of this stuff surfacing over the next few weeks/months. Right now they are dealing with the LGA stuff. |
