I had heard the rumor, so I had to breeze through to see if it was true, and indeed it is. Congrats moderator ACL. Don't forget us low life regular people as you climb the APC ladder :).

Tsquare - house project is off. Can't get mama to pull the trigger. Sorry for the false alarm. Sorry I didn't get on here to notice the PM, thought you were gonna call not write

Hey, that's great! Congratulations!

Btw, I didn't get my Delta job through Air Inc. I just filled out an online app and got my buddies at the air line to submit some recommendation letters for me.

The phone rang a few months later (and a few weeks before United called, thank God), and here I am on a layover.

Thanks buddy!!! We are pumped to get to fly and live back home. Most of the fellas I know dont do the Air Inc. job fairs. I was responding to some sarcasm from a previous post. I think he is an AE guy. I am hoping to get a call from AE. I would love to interview. I see you are a 737 guy. I recently received my type from HPA in Dallas. What a blast!!! I had a terrific time. You have an incredible jet. It flies much like a Herk....a bit faster though!!!!:D

Waves my dear sir. A few of observatiuons if I may;

1. It was a merger, not an acquisition.
2. Unless you are RA, you did not inherit anything. DAL did.
3. We are pilots, who will fly together. Perhaps it would be wise to begin to act like one group instead of condensending.
4. What DAL did inherit however was the Pacific.

By the way, I was hired in 87 after the Republic merger. NWA also acted like the superior survivor. I'm just sayin.............................

Welcome to the forum!

Well, tomorrow is my last day of reserve this month and my RAW score is still 0. Next month the MSP 88B will have 5 times the number of reserves as this month and still no flying - and then I have vacation in May. Using this Spring to get rested up for what I expect will be a busy summer!

Waves, it does that some times. Refresh, it is a cookies packet issue. Fixes itself with a refresh or two.

As for the DC 9's, well they are in the fleet plan longer than that, and they are doing some low cost external mods to them. Internal mods etc. By the end of the year we will be down to just the 50 series 9's. Look for almost a one for one replacement of these jets with MD-90's. Long term I expect some sort of narrow aircraft order. Used preferred as it is cheaper, but we need to do something.

Not sure how many 50 series we have, but replacing them with MD-90's if we can get more of them would be fantastic. I don't share your optimism on any new aircraft orders, but I certainly hope I'm wrong.

68 total DC-9s. 34 are -50's and have already been painted and upgraded. The other 34 are a mix of -30/40's and those havent been painted because they'll be gone by the end of the year. The -50's will be here a while longer.

The Md-90's and increased utilization of the -50's will mean no net loss of positions and actually may add some positions since the DC9s didnt have high utilization rates.

In regards to #3, it is amazing that when the argument suits your parameters you throw out the old Rodney King slogan. When it doesn't, DAL got something it seemingly couldn't have survuved without, and DAL-S guys are lucky to have it.

In regard to #4... what NWA "inherited" was Europe... Africa.. and South America. We are all better off...
