I had a couple of NWA jumpseaters today, not to mention a bunch of hung out at the bars on my layovers. From the intel I gathered on the plans of the northies, you probably don't have to worry about that. Many of the NWA guys are jumping to bigger metal. Delta's widebodies are going to get much much more senior. I had a 13 year NWA bubba on the jumpseat who was kicked off the 330 and is barely holding his own on the 755. He said he knows many in his category who are going to NYC 7ER ... and he's a commuter from Atlanta !!!! They've already done the 767 conversion training in Atlanta, something I didn't know they were already doing. Lets face it, Delta is a widebody airline and NWA wasn't. So many of those guys have been waiting for this day. And it has come ... 29 DEC 09. |

Heyas Jab,
It does not. SS posted a message on EZOB saying that he's working on it, but it's not an easy transition. Nu

Ok, sorry, probably asked or said before, but I am on the -9 and in Jan go to DBMS stuff. I am on resrv, and I thought I heard or read there is a way to bid or request that you be assigned short call resrv days ealry in the month...I guess helping your raw score...Which I am still trying to figure out what all that means. Thanks for any help
It doesn't make sense to give you lots of SC in the first half of the month - then there are less people to give SCs to at the end of the month. I think in the last year on reserve, I only got the max number of SCs in a month once. |

(CRJ50B) :D Point is, that things are now going to be rationalized. It will probably allow a 01 hire and maybe an 07 hire an A position and definitely a lot better seniority than they currently have on narrow body equipment. I will miss the ER, but it will be around long enough to get back to it. I have given up crying in my beer...... |
Do you really think an 01 or 07 will have an A position?

NWA wasn't? Last time I checked, NWA was the largest operator of A330's in the world and the launch customer for the 747-400 and most recent the 787. Get over it and stop trashing NWA because it is now part of the history of DAL. By the way, I am not putting anything on my AE, but if I get MD from the 330, I'm going to the 7ER in NYC, 14 year dude! |

It would also be nice to note that most of the retirements are coming from the Northies and helping the entire group. |
I wasn't trashing anything about Northwest. Find ONE negative comment? You can't, so ****.
The point was, Delta had more widebody positions than Northwest. And now the realities of this merger is going to hit home for the south guys. No hate. Just truth and reality my friend. I will find it interesting to see how many NWA widebody positions get MD compared to DAL. |

Depends on how many folks chase the 765 I guess... |
And another thing we all should be concerned about, our FAs. There's some real poison there.
I think it will be a very long time before we see the FAs start mix flying. |
