Gunships (AC130's?) make the devil stand at attention....and so would I if Delta was actually actively hiring/recruiting. I can't find that verbage on their careers page. Where did it come from.
Except this one: http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_zw2bfwz2_R...400/TALENT.JPG

If/When they open the gates, I would have someone take the time and walk your resume in to the hiring dept. The liked this last time so hopefully they will this time. (give him her your ssn so they can find your app too)
Make sure that apps is spotless. Perfect spelling, punctuation, and sentence structure. DAL is three words not two! :D

Great info...thanks!!! I have some terrific pals that have volunteered to do just that. It would be nice to know if airlineapps even works. I even applied to AE. I have not heard a peep in two months. Sometimes you wonder if they even see your application.
Thats what I was told once, maybe true, maybe not. But I hope it is. |
Waves, it does that some times. Refresh, it is a cookies packet issue. Fixes itself with a refresh or two.
As for the DC 9's, well they are in the fleet plan longer than that, and they are doing some low cost external mods to them. Internal mods etc. By the end of the year we will be down to just the 50 series 9's. Look for almost a one for one replacement of these jets with MD-90's. Long term I expect some sort of narrow aircraft order. Used preferred as it is cheaper, but we need to do something. |
Avg & Gunship, start rushing Guard & Reserve squadrons now!
(Btw, if you live in Florida: the Navy recently moved a Reserve Herc squadron to Jacksonville, and it's hiring! Interservice transfers are a hassle, but they're done all the time.) |

Red,
Instead of the poor attempt at humor through extreme sarcasm, why not state it more optimistically and change your post to read, "WOWWWWWW!!! 4 MORE slots:D" In quoting your posts I made sure to include the same amount of "W's", just to make sure that you didn't think that I was trying to "alter" your post. Whose team are you on anyway, or is there an "I" in your team? GJ You are wasting your time.. in Reddog's world, the axis runs straight thru NRT. |

I did!!! I am blessed to have been hired by my home town Reserve unit. :D The options active duty were a UAV and a UAV or a lovely desk job somewhere. My ship came in when my hometown unit hired me. As a family, we could not be more excited. I have heard about the AirInc job fairs. Unfortunately, I am always deployed or TDY when they have them. Bad luck or just bad timing...I continue to look at the job fair schedules. Maybe I can make one of them work.
Btw, I didn't get my Delta job through Air Inc. I just filled out an online app and got my buddies at the air line to submit some recommendation letters for me. The phone rang a few months later (and a few weeks before United called, thank God), and here I am on a layover. |

There are some really good motivational posters of the C-130 gunship and most all of them cannot be reposted on this forum.
Got a link?? |

we inherited 69 DC-9 dinosaur aircraft. Without costly overhaul, most of the airframes will drop dead in 2012. The replacement aircraft, if any, are NOT mainline aircraft. So unless something changes, DAL will be severely overmanned by the end of 2012.

Exactly. Try explaining to a HVC he should fly on the CRJ-900 from JFK to DFW when there there isn't any WiFi like there is on other airplane.
The average Joe-Flyer may not care that the CRJ-900 isn't a DC9 or 737, other than it being a bit smaller inside. HVC sure do notice and want/need the wifi to work. A CRJ, even a larger one, may not cut the mustard if it's missing things like Wifi. |
