I agree. I'd never take a quarterback. (not named Manning.)
When was the last time a highly touted college quarterback performed as expected? Just thinking about Linehart (sp) USC, Quin (ND), Campbell (AU), and the big baby that went to the Chargers (I forgot his name. Leach???). |

Or a Cox, Todd, or a Campbell?:D
At least Campbell put together an undefeated season. Can't say much for the other two. |

Campbell has a lot to offer though, you cannot fault him for the mess that Daniel Snyder has turned the Redskins into. I am a life long Redskin fan and until Snyder is gone I will chear against them, it pained me to see Campbell go to a rot gut team like that one. No O-line = McNabb dead by week 2. Campbell needs to get out of that situation asap. How are the Alabama QB alumnus in the NFL doing? :D One of these was my college roomate. I looked up his salary, holy cow, pays to make it to the pro bowl and set a few records along the way. http://www.auburnfootball.com/auburn...layers-nfl.htm |
Well I should talk. Except for Richard Todd who played for the Jets and the Saints for 9 years, Alabama hasn't produced a Pro QB of note since Namath.
And to answer a previous question, Philip Rivers is doing pretty well for himself. |

Thanks for the info. :)
In regards to our longevity raise, if it's the answer we talked about I will be filing a grievance. Our longevity is determined by either the former NWA way or the DAL way. They can't have a combination of the two! That's unfortunately the one. They prorated half the month and came up with a hybrid payrate. Haven't done the detailed math yet, but it's looking like somewhere around a $500 difference from what it "should" be . I need to get an afternoon at home with the old and new contracts to get together the verbiage so I can follow up with them. I'll let you know what I find out. |
OH NO Rolando McClain went to the RAIDERS! Yuch!

The most important player on the field... as one of the ESPN dudes said.. "maybe not the BEST player on the field... but definitely the most important". The paradox is that no matter how talented the drafted QB is, the team he is going to probably sucks because they had nobody to protect the poor sap that was there before. Even Peyton looked at the sky a lot his rookie season. What cracks me up is the coin these guys get... But I guess if you are a Lions fan, the zillion pasetas they paid Matthew Stafford was well worth it.. he did bring the losing streak to an end.. |
Boy I'd prefer to be picked at the bottom of the first draft, I wonder who'll get Toby Gerhart? That dude is a bowling ball.
