Odd, the NYC CPO has said that no activity like that is going on because there is not a "process in place yet" but that there is going to be meetings in ATL next week to get the system more defined and they'll know more "soon".

But 18 months after its merger, Delta still doesn't have new contracts for many worker groups, a risk for United and Continental. Both airlines are also in labor negotiations with their flight attendants, customer service representatives, ramp workers and other groups, which are represented by different unions at the two carriers.
"This was caused, in part, by the Obama Administration's decision to change the union certification and representation rules mid-stream, causing the entire process to reset to the beginning." Typical slack reporting. Nu |

We had a JS'er yesterday that said he had a pre-interview screening with the MEM CP and that a FNWA pilot got his friend a screening with the DTW CP.
I spoke with the ATL CPO and they said this is not happening. What is deal with these pre-interview screenings in FNWA bases? Haven't heard of any official "pre-interview screening" though. Some of these CPs might just be talking to people and figuring out who they will recommend. A letter from a chief pilot, while not a guarantee, would probably be pretty influential. |
Really people should be seeking out Newk for an influential recommendation. Just like Vince Young did when Newk told him to waltz into the right corner endzone against the cheatin Trojans of USC to win the BCS championship. All Young needed was Newks wink to know to run it.

What? You don't think a note from an assistant greenskeeper with a slightly stained T-shirt would be helpful?

PBS / RESERVE LINE BIDDING and MLOA QUESTION
In a 30-31 day month, you get 13 X days. If I have two days of MLOA during that month, does that affect the number of X days? Will I still have 13 X days and 2 days MLOA?
I'm wondering if I should protect my MLOA with requested X days ... Thanks. |
