Oh boy. Can you say, FUMBLE!?! Its funny, USA fans are cheering, UK fans are mad.

I thought recalls could go wherever their seniority allowed, is that not the case? There were recalls with my class in 08 that were going straight to the 764, which obviously was not a new hire position.

Yep, recalls can go anywhere their seniority can hold. Go Yanks!!

Yep... both airlines were lacking in that, and really in the kid thing.

There should be a master skull count as well as a breakdown of sections and what was counted for weight. Not that hard.

BINGO! I really don't care where they're seated, just a total of pax. How difficult is it for the agents and dispatch to add pax and crew and give us the big number? If something bad happens, don't they need an accounting?

I'm curious about this because I agree with Scoop here. What happened, or happens, if Comair goes on strike and ASA/Skywest takes their flights for them? Did that happen in 2001? I was wrapped up in Coex affairs and not really certain of what happened with that strike. Just curious, or I'll tell you what scoop, answer me over at Latest and Greatest and we can keep this thread on topic.

Okay, I'm curious now, if Comair goes on strike and Delta says, okay fine, those routes are now mainline Delta's again. Is that flying struck work?

I couldn't imagine them not having an account for it or the FAA ever allowing them not to do it. That'd be equivalent to not doing pilot training or maintenance imho. They do require you to say "infant in arms" on the ticket so they must know. So with that said, how come we don't get to know?

Hey, are the July bid results out yet?

1-1 is something the USA wanted much more then England. Not great offensive play by the USA, but the defense & goaltending was great.

Nice job USA. :)

It is! Bad juju right there.

We don't count? (Get it? :p)

The company should re-format the AWABS to show each group--crew, pax and infant-in-arms--and a total souls on board. Might keep the guess work down and end Math In Public.

We can hope, right?

Vikz09:

Welcome Aboard...In Advance!

Look at the bright side. You'll probably miss Atlanta and Virginia Ave. in the summer, and still make Ice Fishing Season.

All the Best to you and our future New Hires!

I get your "beef." The silver lining is the longer you wait to convert the better you can hold once you get here.

At Delta there is a complete lack of sympathy for new hire issues among your fellow pilots. The trick is to raise the issue in such a way that no one could possibly allege you are complaining, but rather, you are stating your curiosity as to why your contract is being breached, or that it would be your preference to work out of MSP. Anything but whining. (as one junior loser to another)

Believe you me, I don't think it will be too terribly hard to hold MD88 MSP. With the number of people they need there you are going to be holding a line before you know how to bid it.

Welcome aboard. You are going to love it here. Not sure I'd be in any huge hurry to trade in a new E170 left seat for a MD88 right seat. Is there any way you could defer until you can hold the 7ER? :)
